Cresent Hardy is ready to get to work.

Meet Cresent Hardy.

Cresent Hardy was born and raised in Mesquite, Nevada. As a fifth-generation resident of Mesquite, he knows the importance of building a strong, safe community for families. Cresent and his wife, Peri, have been married for 35 years and are the parents of four children and five wonderful grandchildren. When people sing "Home Means Nevada", Cresent really knows what that means because he lives it every day.

Growing up in a farming community taught Cresent the value of hard work at a young age. Working every day on his father’s ranch instilled a valuable work ethic that he applies each day in everything he does; as a father, a small business owner, and as a public servant.

As a small business owner, Cresent knows what it takes to create jobs, make a payroll, and meet a budget. He knows first-hand that a low-tax environment that encourages business growth and expansion is critical to creating the new, high-paying jobs that bring economic prosperity to our communities. He also understands the negative effect that overly burdensome government regulations can have on job growth.

Cresent’s continued commitment to community is reflected in his vast public service. Serving in the United States Congress from 2015 – 2017, Cresent made constituent service his priority. He and his staff worked every day to give personal attention to each individual question brought to their office. Prior to serving in Congress, he served as the Mesquite Public Works Director, a member of the Virgin Valley Water District, a member of the Mesquite City Council, and as a two-term member of the Nevada State Assembly. Cresent knows that our elected officials are there to serve the people, not themselves or Washington special interests.

Volunteer service is also a big part of Cresent’s life. He is proud to have co-founded the Golf Fore Kids fundraising program, which raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for children in need in Southern Nevada. He is also active in his church, community organizations such as Junior Livestock and 4-H, and numerous veterans groups.

No one is better prepared than Cresent to go to Washington to fight for Nevada, to fight for lower taxes, an economic environment that will create good jobs, and for our families. For him, it is all about doing what is right for Nevada families and our community. This isn’t just a slogan for Cresent, it’s been his entire life.
